Neck:The neck is of one piece of QS roasted Maple with a Wenge fret board. 24 small gauge stainless steel frets and Purpleheart wood oval inlays. Dual action truss rod and full length carbon fiber bars inside the neck. Luminlay side dot marks glow blue in low light. The peghead faces are made of laminated Maple, Walnut, and Purpleheart woods.
Body: The body consists of laminates of Claro Walnut, Maple, Black Walnut, and Purpleheart woods. The shape is the Drake Custom Model 4 shape with a contoured heel and recessed mounting hardware. A match wood laminated cover over the electronics cavity. The entire bass is finished in hard wax oil and is easily repaired or maintained by the player.
Hardware: Hardware is Hipshot brand with a Aluminum tray A style bridge with 18mm spacing. Saddles are brass and steel. The tuners are Ultr-lites. Dunlop strap buttons with strap gear included.
Electronics: The heart of the bass is the Aguilar DCB dual coil pickups. These offer a strong output and full range of tone. They are wired Volume , Volume, Tone and a wide range of tones can be achieved by different blends of neck and bridge pickup. The tone pot has a ,047 cap. Low profile knobs are rubber with white plastic pointer lines.
Dimensions: This bass weighs in at 8 pounds on the nose. Body is 1.5 inches thick and the neck is rather slim front to back. Shallow C shape to the carve. 1.75 inches wide at the nut.
